CLE Opportunity: Improv & Communication for Legal Teams

The Courtroom is all kind of theater, and it's often unscripted. Are you prepared?

CLE ID #136214 - Starts Wednesday, October 7th

Limited to 10 participants: 6 slots left

Maybe you're an introvert.

Maybe you get nervous when the spotlight shines on you in the courtroom, in a deposition, or when meeting new clients.

Maybe you're so busy focusing on your message to the jury or your sales pitch to a new client that you're not seeing how they're already responding to you with their face and body.

We help legal professionals of all backgrounds and personalities move beyond these self-imposed limitations. How?

By doing.

Traditional CLE courses offer manuals, books, or watching videos. It just doesn't work. What does is the same approach that we've used to train corporate teams at Nike, Intel, PWC, Tektronix, and more. What we teach and how we teach it gives you a distinct, competitive edge.

Our upcoming 4-session training program gets you out of chairs and up on your feet. We replace passive listening with dynamic, unscripted exercises where you'll be interacting with others in the room. We leverage the power of "process" (or applied) improvisation to help you learn new communication techniques to not only train your mind, but also your body.

Imagine having just a few of the skills that Jury consultants have...

  • Imagine being able to tune into and understand other people's non-verbal cues: their body language, facial expressions, vocal tone, and levels of eye contact.
  • Imagine being able to see when you're landing a message or when you're not... so you can pivot.
  • Imagine being able to consciously change your non-verbal communication cues so that others easily understand and embrace your message.

Our bi-annual trainings teach these very skills, helping you elevate your success in the meeting room, boardroom, and courtroom.

Enrollment is capped at just 10 seats, so space fills quickly. We have only 6 slots left. So give yourself, your attorneys and your paralegals a competitive edge that pays dividends in every deposition, trial, and client meeting.

What Your Team Will Master:

  • Spot subtle non-verbal cues and process information faster during depositions and cross-examinations.
  • Deliver compelling arguments both verbally and non-verbally.
  • Stay calm, present, and strategic when unexpected objections or curveballs occur.
  • Foster instant rapport with clients, co-counsel, and juries.

Why Industry Leaders Trust Change Through Play:

  • We're led by founder David Koff, a 30+ year veteran actor and improviser who has trained legal, corporate, and executive teams across Portland including teams at Nike, Intel, PWC, Synopsys, Tektronix, and more.
  • Our unique curricula is grounded in neuroscience, cognitive psychology and process improvisation which actively dampens the brain's "inner critic" to build confidence, rapid adaptability, and presence under pressure.
  • We cap this workshop at just 10 participants to guarantee a lot of personalized coaching and continuous, on-your-feet practice.

Workshop Details:

  • WHEN: Wednesdays, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Starts October 7th)
  • FORMAT: 4 weekly, 2-hour sessions (8 total hours)
  • WHERE: In-person at our Raleigh Hills Studio
  • INVESTMENT: $500 total ($125 / session)
  • CLASS SIZE: Only 10 participants for maximum individual feedback
  • PREREQUISITES: Active OSBAR membership required for CLE credit

Parents, We're lucky here in Portland. We've got a variety of theater, acting, and improvisation camps for children all over the city. But there's a problem... None of them - except for us - are staffed by adults with decades of professional acting or theater experience. Our own child is attending a camp this week at The Judy. It's a lovely organization and facility and he's having a good time! But his camp is being supervised by teens on summer break and young adults with little professional...
